When you register for Training Camp, you will be place in a “huddle” with athletes from your school district or geographic location and will be meeting with them in person on the weeks we do not have an “all-athlete” gathering. Athletes will be given chances throughout the program to win special prizes (Bills tickets, signed gear, drones, gift cards, swag, etc.) for completing specific discipleship challenges. Your $75 registration includes food and drink at all Training Camp gatherings (10), an FCA Training Camp 2023 T-Shirt, a ticket to go on the Bills turf during graduation at Highmark Stadium, eligibility to win thousands of dollars worth of prizes, and (5) incredible nights of fun and games with other athletes across WNY.
Like last year, we will still have our “all-athlete” gatherings where the entire program comes together. These gatherings will be for fun and games, prizes, fellowship, and worship with our FCA Worship Team. Midway through the program, we will have a crazy party night where you will be able to invite your teammates to join us for free! As usual, the final meeting of the program will be graduation at Highmark Stadium, where you will get the chance to celebrate your accomplishments, fellowship with your friends, play some football and take pictures on the Bills turf, and hopefully meet some Bills players and coaches. Last year we had 5 Bills players and 3 coaches join us at graduation.
This year, all 10 Training Camp meetings will be in person! No more dreaded Zoom meetings! When we launched our first Training Camp in 2020, we could only use Zoom to meet. In 2021, we shifted to a blended approach, with half of our meetings on Zoom. Instead of using Zoom, we will be producing a weekly “show” which will feature our celebrity guest speaker from the Bills, Sabres, or elsewhere across the wide world of sports. This show will be premiered on Youtube Live on Sunday nights at 7pm for you to watch at your huddle’s host site.
As part of Training Camp, athletes get exclusive access to our custom FCA Youversion Bible Reading plan for their daily readings. This year, we will be reading the books of Acts, Romans, and John. The reading will equate to one chapter per day. You will need to complete all daily Bible readings and attend 7/10 of the meetings to be eligible for graduation. Your responsibility for the program will be to stay up to date with our email and text messages, stay current on your Bible reading, engage with your huddle at your host cite, and have fun at our all-athlete events.
