Our Team

Area Director - Jake Hannon

As Metro Director, Jake Hannon is responsible for leading the ministry in the metropolitan area of Buffalo, including the surrounding suburbs, by fundraising, creating a staff team, and casting vision for the future of FCA in the city. Jake is a Buffalo native and played hockey at West Point’s United States Military Academy for his freshman year. He graduated from Liberty University with a Religion Degree in 2012 and stayed on at Liberty as the Hockey Team Chaplain and Assistant Coach. In 2015, Jake and his family moved back to Buffalo to pursue a calling to full-time ministry. Aside from FCA, Jake also serves as a pastor.

Types of Jobs

Area Director: Prayerfully creates and sustains the plan to grow the FCA ministry in the assigned geography through Board, Donor and Staff development. Responsible for working with staff and volunteers to fund and manage the finances of the ministry. As the spiritual leader, guided by God and devoted to Jesus Christ, the Area Director models the FCA values of Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence in dealing with staff, volunteers, athletes and coaches.

Area Representative: In collaboration with the local Area Director and Leadership Board, will prayerfully create and sustain the plan to grow the FCA ministry to and through coaches in the assigned area. Responsible for working with staff, volunteers and a team of advisors to fund and manage the finances of the ministry. As a spiritual leader, guided by God and devoted to Jesus Christ, the Area Representative will model the FCA values of Integrity, Serving, Teamwork and Excellence in dealing with staff, volunteers, athletes and coaches. 

Administrative Assistant: Provides clerical support for the FCA field office to accomplish the FCA Mission and Vision.

The Basics

Before pursuing employment with FCA, it is FCA’s desire that you have a full understanding of the position you are applying for and the FCA Ministry. FCA’s intention is to do its best to affirm your calling to this ministry and equip you to succeed. 

Funding

FCA is a faith-financed ministry and as such depends on the generosity of donors to support our ministry staff. Developing and implementing a funding plan is part of your responsibility as FCA ministry staff. 

A Family Call

Your spouse (if married) and family must be similarly called to the ministry and support you in your role as FCA Staff.

The official hiring process begins with the endorsement of the local FCA Area Director and/or regional Vice President as well as the local leadership board.
